Blue Guardian Balance-Based Daily Loss vs Trailing 6% Overall

Blue Guardian runs two loss lines that move differently. The 4% max daily loss is measured off your balance at day-start, not floating equity, so the day's line stays locked to where the day began rather than drifting with open trades. The 6% max overall loss is a trailing drawdown from your equity high, so a good week can quietly raise the floor beneath you. The EA treats them separately: it computes the balance-based daily ceiling before every entry and cuts size, or sits out, once headroom gets thin, and it re-reads the trailing level before every order instead of trading off a stale number. Trading still carries risk of loss.

No day count

No Minimum Trading Days on Blue Guardian, So Skipping Costs Nothing

Blue Guardian sets no minimum trading days on the evaluation, so a single reckless session, not a slow one, is what really ends a challenge. That lets the EA be selective without penalty. When a killzone passes with no A+ order block or fair value gap, it lets the session go rather than manufacturing an entry just to log a day. Every signal in the book carries a 1 to 5 score, so you can take only the Q4+ setups and leave the rest recorded as ran, missed or invalid. The 10% profit target on the 1-Step Standard evaluation still has to come from the trades you do take.

Blue Guardian is a proprietary-trading (funded-challenge) firm, not a licensed broker: evaluation and funded accounts trade in a simulated environment, so its own rulebook and prohibited-practices list are what actually govern automated trading here.

  • Blue Guardian is not a regulated broker. The site is operated by Iconic Exchange Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 12087566); it is not licensed or supervised by a financial regulator, and evaluation/funded accounts trade on simulated capital, not a trader's own live brokerage funds.
  • Expert Advisors and automated/algorithmic trading are explicitly permitted, with no pre-approval required, but the firm's Prohibited Trading Practices policy bans tick scalping (trades closed in under 2 minutes), arbitrage/HFT exploits, hedging across separate accounts, and running the same strategy or EA across multiple accounts to bypass capital-allocation limits.
  • Rule sets differ by evaluation model (1-Step, 2-Step, legacy 3-Step) and can change per purchase date, e.g. a news-trading restriction near high-impact releases applies to accounts bought after 13 Nov 2025, so an EA must be checked against the current rules for the specific account type before it runs.
