Alpha Capital Challenge EA That Only Takes Killzone Setups

The Alpha Capital challenge EA is a free MT5 Expert Advisor that reads order blocks, fair value gaps and liquidity sweeps, then acts when price sweeps liquidity into a real zone inside a killzone. When it fires, the entry lands on the candle that triggered it, a structure-based stop goes in, and three take-profit levels are drawn before the order is sent. Position size is set so a full stop stays inside Alpha Capital Group's 5% daily and 10% overall loss lines. While the trade runs you manage one position: move the stop to breakeven, close half or close all in one tap, without piling on a second trade.

Alpha Capital EA Approval: Email the EX5 File First

Alpha Capital Group allows EAs, but only on MetaTrader 5 accounts and only with prior approval: its policy asks you to email the EX5 file before the EA trades your evaluation. EA support is not available on cTrader, TradeLocker or DXTrade, so an account opened on those platforms cannot run it. Alpha Capital is backed by ACG Markets, which is regulated by the Seychelles FSA, but the firm's own automation policy is still the rulebook for what you may run on the account. Read that policy on Alpha Capital's site before you submit the file, and keep AutoTrading off until the firm has answered.

No evaluation deadline

Alpha Capital Has No Evaluation Deadline, and the EA Uses It

Alpha Capital Group puts no time limit on either evaluation phase, which removes the clock that usually pushes a trader into forcing entries late in a challenge. The EA is built for that room. With no date to beat, it can skip a quiet session entirely and wait for the next killzone instead of manufacturing a setup, and the same patience carries from Phase One into Phase Two. The 8% Phase 1 and 5% Phase 2 profit targets still have to come from trades the market actually offers. Waiting lowers the pressure to force risk, but it does not remove risk; trading carries risk of loss.

Drawdown sizing

Alpha Capital 5% Daily and 10% Trailing Overall Loss Sizing

Alpha Capital Group caps losses at 5% a day and 10% overall, and the overall figure is a trailing, account-level cap enforced on every order. The EA sets the position size and stop on each order so that a single trade, and the day's running total, stay inside both lines, and it checks that before the order is sent rather than after. As losses build toward the daily limit it throttles new entries well before the line, not at it, leaving a buffer between its operating band and the hard limit. You enter both figures once. Sizing narrows what a losing day can cost, but trading carries risk of loss.

Alpha Capital's own rules

Alpha Capital Group is a proprietary-trading (funded-challenge) firm, not a licensed broker: its evaluation and funded accounts trade on simulated pricing, and its own EA/automation policy governs what you can run.

  • Alpha Capital Group itself is not FCA- or otherwise directly regulated; it is backed by ACG Markets, a Seychelles-registered broker holding an FSA (Seychelles) Securities Dealer licence, which supplies the simulated pricing and liquidity behind Alpha Capital's evaluation and funded accounts.
  • EAs are permitted on MT5 accounts only, but must be pre-approved by emailing the EX5 file to support before use, and 'Enable EA' must be selected at checkout; EAs are limited to risk-management and trade-assistance functions.
  • Fully autonomous EAs that execute trades without human oversight, high-frequency/latency-arbitrage bots, and copy-trading or third-party signal bots are explicitly prohibited, and running the same EA as other traders can trigger a 'no group trading' breach.
  • Accounts are demo/simulated, not real brokerage accounts; any EA found exploiting execution speed or server delays can get the account suspended or terminated with no eligibility for reinstatement or payout.

What to weigh before you run any EA on a funded-challenge account.

  • Challenge providers are largely unregulated: they are not licensed brokers, don't register with the CFTC or NFA, and you trade simulated capital under a fee-for-service contract, not a protected brokerage account.
  • Because they aren't brokers, funds aren't segregated client money and there is no FSCS / SIPC-style deposit protection if a firm delays payouts or ceases operating.
  • The CFTC's 2023 case against “My Forex Funds” (later dismissed on procedural grounds in 2025) alleged the firm secretly traded against its own funded clients, an illustration of the counterparty conflict built into the challenge-fee model.
  • Platform access is a live risk: from February 2024 MetaQuotes revoked MT4 / MT5 licences from brokers grey-labelling to prop firms over US-regulatory exposure, stranding some firms' accounts through no fault of the trader.

US persons face a distinct set of rules for automated forex, futures and securities trading, and a specific regulator advisory aimed at trading bots.

  • The CFTC's advisory “AI Won't Turn Trading Bots into Money Machines” names automated-bot and AI-signal scams directly: one fake-AI forex-bot case ended in a $3.4 billion judgment.
  • Retail off-exchange forex dealers must register with the CFTC and be NFA Forex Dealer Members; soliciting retail forex orders, including for an automated system, requires NFA registration.
  • The SEC, NASAA and FINRA jointly warn that a phrase like “our proprietary AI system can't lose” signals an unregistered scheme, not legitimate automation.
  • FINRA Rule 3110 makes member firms supervise, test and register the people behind an algorithmic strategy: the institutional bar for 'supervised' automated trading.
