Bitget is a centralized crypto exchange, not a bank or brokerage under a single global regulator. Before connecting any EA or bot via API, check its registration footprint and its API key permission model.

  • Bitget is not MiCA-authorised in the EU as of mid-2026 (no ESMA CASP entry) but holds national Virtual Asset Service Provider registrations in Lithuania, Poland and Bulgaria, and has an EU CASP application pending; it is not licensed, approved or registered with the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
  • Automated trading is explicitly supported through its API: users create keys with granular permissions (Read-Only, Trade, Transfer, Withdraw), and Bitget's own API Key Terms of Use require restricting each key to only what a bot needs.
