Across the group, oversight spans CySEC, FSCA and FSC, and EA automation is listed as allowed. Read the terms of your own entity first, as trading on leverage carries risk of loss.

OctaFX rebranded to Octa in 2023, with its offshore entity now trading as Elev8; check which entity your account sits under before you automate, since their regulatory protections differ.

  • The EU-facing entity, Octa Markets Cyprus Ltd, is authorised by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) under licence 372/18, capping EU retail leverage at 1:30 with negative-balance protection and investor-compensation cover. The offshore entity (trading as Elev8, formerly the octafx.com brand) is registered outside the EU, is separately licensed by South Africa's FSCA, and offers leverage up to 1:500 with its own negative-balance protection but no EU-style compensation scheme.
