  • Deriv splits accounts across multiple entities: Deriv Investments (Europe) Ltd is a Malta Financial Services Authority Category 3 investment firm (licence IS/70156), Deriv (BVI) Ltd is licensed by the BVI Financial Services Commission (SIBA/L/18/1114), and Deriv (FX) Ltd / Deriv (V) Ltd operate under Labuan FSA and Vanuatu FSC, offshore licences with lighter investor protection than the Malta entity.
  • Deriv states it does not build or distribute Expert Advisors itself: EAs on Deriv MT5 are third-party MQL5 tools it neither supports nor profits from, and it takes a neutral position on their use; it recommends testing any EA on a demo account first since live results can diverge from backtested results.
